Charity Outreach Worker (Volunteer)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent and London
Time Commitment: 20 hours/week
Expenses Covered | Volunteer Role Only 


 

About Us:

Warm Hearts Community Support is a registered UK charity empowering individuals through poverty relief, digital upskilling, and mental health initiatives. We are growing rapidly and seeking passionate volunteers to join our mission.


Role Overview:

The Charity Outreach Worker will support Community Care Personnel's grassroots programmes by delivering hands-on assistance to vulnerable individuals. This includes supporting community sessions, liaising with partners, and contributing to ongoing outreach initiatives aimed at improving digital access, emotional wellbeing, and inclusion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of community outreach programmes.
  • Support digital inclusion and employability sessions by helping learners and facilitating activities.
  • Work with beneficiaries one-on-one to identify barriers and provide practical support or referrals.
  • Engage with local partners to maintain strong relationships and community presence.
  • Record and report participation metrics to aid monitoring and impact assessment.
  • Participate in planning meetings with the internal team and partners (such as CCP).
  • Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and dignity for all participants.
  • Attend training and supervision sessions regularly.


Skills & Qualities Needed:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Passion for community work and social impact.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic digital literacy; ability to support others with IT tasks is an advantage.

Note: This is an unpaid voluntary role. Reasonable expenses (e.g., travel, meals during events) will be reimbursed.

Volunteer Learning Support Lead

Location: London – Barking (CCP Office Premises)
Time Commitment: Wednesdays, 1PM – 3PM (starting 28 April 2025, 5-month programme).
Travel & Lunch Expenses Covered | Volunteer Role 


About the Role:

Warm Hearts Community Support is delivering a free IT & Employability Skills Training Programme in partnership with Community Care Personnel (CCP). We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Volunteer Learning Support Lead to assist in delivering weekly training sessions and supporting participants’ learning journeys.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of training sessions on basic IT, digital tools, and workplace skills.
  • Help track participant engagement through Talent LMS (training provided).
  • Motivate and support learners through in-person coaching.
  • Assist in planning and improving weekly learning content.
  • Promote inclusion and a safe learning environment.
     

Who You Are:

  • Friendly, patient, and passionate about helping people grow.
  • Confident in basic digital skills (Word, email, internet, file storage).
  • Reliable and committed to attending weekly sessions.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
  • BSc. degree holder.
     

Note: This is a voluntary role. Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.
